Usually, yes. GLB and USDZ go straight in; other formats can be converted, and either way our optimizer sets the polygon count and texture size itself. If a file cannot be rescued, we model the product for you.

Q: How many products can I put in 3D?

This is exactly where the plans differ: each one includes a number of scenes, and a scene means one product experience. Views are never counted, so a scene opens as often as your traffic opens it.

Where it makes the biggest difference.

A photograph flattens a product: depth, texture and scale disappear. In the categories below, shoppers turn the product themselves and see what the photo could not show them.

Furniture and lighting

Scale decides the purchase, and no photo can carry it. Shoppers put the piece in their own room with AR and see whether the sofa clears the doorway and fits in front of that wall, before they order it.

Appliances and electronics

Ports, controls and finish sit on different faces of the product, and no single photo shows them all at once. Shoppers turn the 3D model to whichever face they want, and the question they would have sent to your support team gets answered on the product page.

Rugs and home textiles

Pattern repeat and pile height look completely different at true size. The viewer shows the weave as it is, and AR lays the rug on the shopper's own floor at its real dimensions, so they can see at home whether it works with their sofa and their walls.

What it needs, and where it runs.

The viewer reads GLB and USDZ. If you have neither, there are three ways to a model: scan the product with our iPhone app, upload the CAD or design file your supplier already sent you, or order the model from us. Our optimizer handles compression and texture sizes during upload, so a heavy source file never becomes a heavy product page.

Everything runs in the browser, with no plugin and no app install. AR opens in the viewer built into iOS and Android, and on a device that does not support it nothing breaks: the product simply opens in the 3D viewer. The viewer loads only when it is needed, and it never delays your product page's own render.
